Paneer Poppers Recipe – Ramadan Special, Khaan Paan India

The holy month of Ramadan has started amidst the lockdown. The third phase of lockdown has started as the Government of India has further extended the lockdown by weeks. We hope you all are staying in and observing social distancing. We are in this together and will emerge victorious.

The recipe we are going to see today is by far the easiest and quickest recipe on our blog. Its Ramadan and not to forget there’s work from home. So lets see how to make a Paneer starter i.e. Paneer Poppers in no time.

So without any further ado, let’s get started!!


Ingredients

  • 300 Gms Paneer (Cottage Cheese) cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoon corn flour
  • 1 Teaspoon pepper powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • 4 Tablespoon oil for frying
  • Chopped spring onion greens or chopped coriander leaves for garnish.

Sauces

  • 1 Teaspoon schezwan sauce
  • 1 Teaspoon Tomato Ketchup

Cooking Method

Frying the Paneer – In a mixing bowl add the diced paneer pieces, corn flour, salt and pepper. Toss it with light hands such that the paneer pieces are well coated with corn flour and do not break. There is no need to add water as the paneer will carry some moisture after being washed post cutting or before that.

In a kadhai, heat the oil. Once the oil is hot deep fry the paneer pieces till they turn slightly golden brown. Take out the fried paneer pieces and put it on an absorbent paper. Remove the oil from the kadhai and in the same kadhai add the fried paneer pieces. Add the schezwan sauce and tomato ketchup. Toss it well. Serve Hot. Garnish with spring onion greens or chopped coriander as per availability.

Tip: If you like spicy food, you may want to add more schezwan sauce and chopped green chillies.
