Lets see how to make Restaurant Style Vegetable Hakka Noodles easily and quickly. Vegetable Hakka noodles is a Chinese Fast Food Dish which is very popular in India. A Chinese Restaurant Menu is incomplete without Hakka Noodles and its one of the bestsellers. Apart from Hakka Noodles, there are other variations too. First of all is Schezwan noodles which is tossed with Schezwan Sauce which is spicier version. Then there is Singapore Noodles which is cooked with turmeric & dry red chillies. Another noteworthy one is the Burnt Garlic Noodles which is loaded with chopped garlic.

We need basic day to day ingredients to cook Vegetable Hakka Noodles. Many chefs add sprouts to enhance the taste and character of the dish, however we have not added it. We will keep it the way its served across fast food joints and stalls.

We are using Onions, Carrots, Cabbage, Capsicum cut into juliennes and chopped spring onions. Check image below. These are there basic ingredients we are using for this recipe.

Vegetable Hakka Noodles Recipe

  • 1 Packet Hakka Noodles
  • 1 Cup Onions (Cut into Juliennes)
  • 1 Cup Carrot (Cut into Juliennes)
  • 1 Cup Capsicum (Cut into Juliennes)
  • 1 Cup Cabbage (Cut into Juliennes)
  • 1/2 Cup Spring Onions (Chopped)
  • 4 Teaspoons Cooking Oil
  • 3 Teaspoons Soya Sauce
  • 3 Teaspoons Chilli Sauce
  • Salt & Pepper (As per taste)
  1. Boil the noodles as per the instruction on the packet or Cook the noodles for 5 minutes in a pan of boiling water. Leave it half cooked. Drain the hot water and keep it in a bowl of cold water. Drain it. In a large plate, empty the noodles and Drizzle with cooking oil. Toss the noodles with the help of forks to prevent them from sticking to each other.

  2. Heat some oil in a wok. Add the julienned Onion, Carrots, Cabbage and Capsicum. Saute well on high flame.

  3. Now add the boiled Noodles, Soya Sauce, Chilli Sauce, Salt and Pepper. Mix Well. Cook for 2 minutes. 

  4. Add the chopped spring onions. Turn off the heat. Vegetable Hakka Noodles is ready to be served with Chinese sauces as per your choice.
